In 1946 Clarence Henry Durrant Moved his family from Provo, utah to Meridian Idaho. Bringing with him the
"Big D Brand. in 1953 he built the first chicken coop and by 1954 he had decided to go into the egg producing business on a large scale and purchaed eight hundred chicks. by the time of his death in 1957 he had hens laying a capacity of fifteen hundred and was marketing eggs under the "Big D" brand all over the Boise Valley
